Norfolk Museums Service began their Kick the Dust programme in 2018, beginning with a project called Norfolk Journeys, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. This project involved engaging young people aged 11-25 in the practices of the 10 museums in Norfolk Museums Service, introducing them to heritage and opportunities to take part in hands-on experiences and skills development whilst embedding youth voice across the organisation.
Since the end of this project, Norfolk Museums Service have continued to run Kick the Dust activities to support young people to participate in high quality cultural and heritage activities. You can read more about what is on offer below.
Our project could not happen without the generous support of The National Lottery Heritage Fund or Lottery Players, we thank them for the opportunities this project offers and for making our project possible.
